Do you photograph children and teens for passport photos?

Absolutely. Child and teen passport renewals are common, and we’ll guide them through simple posing and expression so their photo meets official guidelines while still looking natural. Plan a little extra time if you’re bringing young kids, just in case they need a few extra moments to settle. Children should be able to sit or stand on their own for the photo without a parent appearing in the frame.

How much do passport photos cost?

Sessions are $40 per person and include the studio time plus two printed 2×2 passport photos. Additional family members photographed during the same visit are $30 each and also receive two printed 2×2 photos.

Where is your studio located?

Passport photo sessions take place at The Confident Lens home studio in Pen Argyl, PA, just minutes from Easton, Bethlehem, Nazareth, and Allentown. The studio is by appointment only, so you get a quick, focused visit without waiting in a crowded retail line.

Will you edit or retouch my passport photo?

Because U.S. passport photos must not be digitally altered, we do not retouch or “beautify” your image for passport use. The U.S. Department of State requires that passport photos show your natural appearance without filters, heavy skin smoothing, or changes to facial features, and specifically notes that photos must not be digitally enhanced or altered to change how you look.


We will still take care with professional lighting, a clean white background, and guidance on pose and expression so your photo is both flattering and compliant. Your photo will be in color, 2×2 inches in size, with your head between 1 and 1 3/8 inches from chin to top of head, facing the camera with a neutral expression or natural smile and both eyes open, as required by the official guidelines.
